Or as the saying goes, “Boy, I never seen it so dry.” Well, actually we have had some timely rains this summer and driving back from Tulsa on Sunday I noticed that the vegetation looked pretty green. But even in our generation we can remember things such as the great draught, the terrible dust bowl of the 1930s. This dust bowl helped introduce America to the “Great Depression.” A worldwide economic calamity that caused governments to fall and introduced us to the Nazi’s and even World War II.
