Read moreRoger Gary Riley, a Coalgate resident, passed away June 13, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 4, 1945 to Leon and Fannie Ella (Chick) Riley at Atoka, OK. Roger was 74 years, 6 months and 9 days of age. He attended Limestone Elementary graduating in 1963 from Coalgate High School, then attended OU. Roger was a high voltage electrician and lineman at the Ammunition Base in Savanna for over 35 years. He married Sandra Jean Johnson on December 26, 1978 in Durant, OK. She preceded him in death on August 24, 2016. Roger enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, sports, working on cars, and riding motorcycles. He loved his family and friends and the time spent with them. He was a loving and devoted husband, best Daddy and the greatest Papa ever.

Read moreEugene Ray Lackey, born March 23, 1936, in Coalgate, Oklahoma, passed away May 2, 2020, while hospitalized in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife Pat of their home in Red Oak, where they lived for many years and where he was blessed with dear friends from the North Rock Creek Baptist Church family. His wish was to be cremated and no services were held at the time of his death due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions. The youngest of the eight children of Audie Lee (Isbell) and William Leroy Kelly Lackey, he is survived by his sister Quinta (Lackey) Sturdy of Coalgate. Preceded in death by their parents, Audie and Bill, brothers, Hubert, Boyd, William Jr. (Buggs) and sisters Billie, Geraldine (Jerry) & Freeda. A large, jovial family that produced many nieces and nephews and in earlier years, exceptionally loud family gatherings!
