4th of July Celebrations announced

The Chamber of Commerce announced that the Coalgate 4th of July Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 4th. Activities will begin with a turtle race at 10:00 a.m. and the parade lineup will also begin at 10:00 a.m. The turtle race will be held in the Shamrock Bank Parking Lot. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be given to the children with the fastest turtles. The parade lineup will be in the parking lot behind the high school gym. There is no fee to enter and registration happens when you line up. This year’s theme is: “ A Salute to American Heroes - Honoring the Local Medical Professionals”. Those who enter will be competing for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies.
