David was born with Cerebral Palsy. He never walked. He was confined to a wheelchair his entire life. He also had a speech impediment that made it difficult to communicate. Although he faced many challenges in life, he was a fighter. David loved his family. He loved spending time at home during the holidays. He also loved his birthday celebrations and time with family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. He was often called a sweetheart. David was an avid watcher of tv shows such as Adam-12 and Emergency. He loved Batman. He could tell you almost every NASA spaceship that orbited space and the astronauts on board, it was rumored when he lived at Enid State School, his favorite astronaut, John Glenn, heard about him and paid him a visit. David became a resident of Reliant Living Center of OKC on January 29, 1981, where he lived for 42 years. Prior to that, he was a resident at Enid state school. David is running with the angels in heaven, no longer bound with crippled legs and feet. He is eating fried chicken and gravy with mom and Kathy, no longer using a feeding tube for nutrition. He’s having conversations with Jesus and talking his ears off, no longer with a speech impediment, probably asking, why me, Lord? He is drawing and painting on canvas, his hands no longer crippled, he can see obstacles he couldn’t see before, no longer blind in his right eye. He is free. David was preceded in death by his mom Olean Trail, sister Kathy Trail. David is survived by his dad, Bob Trail of Jones; sister Rose Sanders and husband Alan of Choctaw; brother Mark Trail and wife Tammy of Choctaw, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
