Sandra Gail (Watson) Newport

Memorial service for Sandra Gail (Watson) Newport, a Coalgate resident, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Kendall Knight officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Newport was born January 5, 1960 at Martinez, CA. Her loving parents were Nolan and Carolyn (English) Watson. She passed away January 21, 2024 at Tulsa, OK at the age of 64 years and 16 days. She graduated from Coalgate High School then attended Tulsa College. Sandra was a custodian for the Choctaw Nation until she retired. She was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church. She was a Boy Scout Club leader and enjoyed writing, painting, and doing arts and crafts. Sandra loved to volunteer and help people.

Survivors include her children, Ryan Jones of Coalgate, C. J. Mansell and husband, Mark of Farris, OK, Charles Kersey, Laura Kersey and Truydal Kinsey, all of Coalgate; grandchildren, Faith McCoy, Haven McCoy, Hailey McCoy, Destiny McCoy, Nashoba Kinsey and Abbie Kinsey; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dearly loved friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Carolyn Watson; granddaughter, Felicity Jones; and brothers, Robert Watson and Nolan Watson, Jr.
