City Manager Johnny Jump said the matter concerned a hydrology study for storm drainage in the city. The study is already complete, this was just the final payment.

A two-vehicle crash west of Coalgate on Saturday, October 1, took the life of a 79-year-old Coalgate man. The collision occurred on SH 31 about two miles west of Coalgate at approximately 10:10 a.m.
