Funeral services for Everett Lynn Calvert, a long time Lehigh resident, were held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Marilyn Pratt officiating. Burial was in Lehigh Cemetery with Browns’ Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Calvert was born March 16, 1957 to William Everett and Myrtle Beatrice (White) Calvert at Coalgate and passed away December 5, 2022 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 19 days. He attended Lehigh School and graduated from Coalgate High School. Lynn was a rancher and was well known for his hard work. He was a member of the Lehigh Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger. Lynn made friends everywhere he went. He loved OU and the Dallas Cowboys. Lynn spent a lot of time taking care of Nadine and Izetta. They ate many lunches together at the Brandin’ Iron Cafe. Nadine and Izetta could depend on him for anything. Lynn was a bright light in this world He will be missed by many.

Survivors include his brother, Velton Caldwell and wife Sharon of Tushka, OK; special friend who was more like family, Nadine Donelly; special friend, Margie Smithart; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dearly loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Everett and Myrtle Beatrice (White) Calvert; sisters, Betty Cogburn, Deloris Vechnak and Anna Iker; brothers, Harlon Peters and Wayne Caldwell; and special friend who was more like family, Izetta Estes.

Casketbearers were Colin Heathcock, Roy Yarbrough, David Enrico, Danny West, Rick Heinze and Tony Airington. Honorary bearers were Larry Chastain, Otis Moore, Jimbo Eclair and Gerald Sweeten.
