Janice Lola Lanoy

Funeral services for Janice Lola (Vick) Lanoy, a Coalgate resident, were held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Olney Baptist Church, Olney, OK with Bro. Jerry Riley officiating. Burial was in Riley Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mrs. Lanoy was born January 2, 1947 to Reece Columbus and Viola (Beal) Vick at Olney, OK and passed away December 3, 2022 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 1 day. She graduated from Olney High School and married Alfred Lanoy on November 23, 1966 in Coalgate. They had fond memories of trips to Arkansas especially to Dog Patch. Janice was a seamstress at Blue Bell for many years and was head cook at Olney Public Schools where she retired. Janice was a member of the Olney Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting and gardening. She belonged to the Women’s Homemakers Club of Olney and was a huge volunteer at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred Lanoy of the home in Coalgate; daughter, Lisa Lynn Talley and husband Christopher Shayne of Coalgate; sons, Alfie Lanoy and wife, Monte ofParsons,KansasandJohn Thorpe of Hartshorne, OK; grandchildren, Shawyna Bryant and husband Keith of Tishomingo, OK, Shelby Talley of Fort Worth, TX, Stetson Cravens and wife Lindsey of Putnam, OK; great-grandchildren, Zaine, Zoie, Zander Bryant, Luccese and Stuton Cravens; sisters, Louse Linscott of Savanna, OK, Margie Christman and husband Larry of Coalgate, Jane Loudermilk and husband Tommy of Olney, and Birtha Christman and husband Rick of Pittsburg, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and extended church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reece Columbus and Viola (Beal) Vick; brothers, Reece Carl Vick and wife, Wanda Lou, Naman Vick and wife Bernice, and Ross Lenn Vick; sister, Julia Pearl Parker.

Casketbearers were Reece Curtis Vick, Donald Edward Vick, Daniel Luke Vick, Robert Linscott, Travis Loudermilk and Maurice Christman. Honorary bearers were Hunter Christman, Jason Linscott, Steven Linscott, Justin Vick and Rusty Christman.
