Donald Lee Glasco

Funeral services for Donald Lee Glasco, a Coalgate resident, will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Robert Foos officiating. Brown’s Funeral ServiceofCoalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Glasco was born January 23, 1947 to Homer Lee and Hazel Juanita (Davenport) Glasco at Atoka, OK and passed away December 2, 2022 at McAlester, OK at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 9 days.

He graduated from Coalgate High School and attended college at Southeastern State University and East Central University. Donald served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War Conflict and married Cindy Lynn Barnes June 30, 1973 at Wewoka, OK. She preceded him in death June 13, 2017. Donald was an electrical lineman and a member of the Baptist Church in Coalgate. He liked to fish, hunt, and run his bait shop. His favorite times were spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, Michael Glasco and wife Suzie of McAlester, OK; daughter, Misty Smith and husband Justin of Holdenville, OK; grandsons, Austin Glasco of Lawton, OK,Andrew Glasco of Weatherford, OK and Joby Smith of Holdenville, OK; granddaughter, Jorja Smith of Holdenville, OK; aunt, Leta Glasco of Purcell, OK; sister-in-law, Janet Whelan and husband Roger of Eufaula, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dearly loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Lee and Hazel Juanita (Davenport) Glasco; wife, Cindy Lynn (Barnes) Glasco; and brothers, Jimmy Glasco and Gregg Glasco.

Honorary bearers will be Larry Davis, Ronnie Davis and Tim Williams.
