Betty Lequitta Daniel
Funeral services for Betty Lequitta Daniel, a longtime Coleman resident, were held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. Sam Vaughn officiating. Burial was in Coleman Cemetery in Coleman with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Daniel was born October 7, 1946 to William Lewis and Stella Vernia (Overstreet) Willeby at Lubbock, TX and passed away November 8, 2021 at her home in Coleman, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 1 day. She attended Tushka Public School and married Cleo Franklin Daniel Sr. August 13, 1963 at Durant, OK. They celebrated 48 years of marriage before his passing September 9, 2011. Betty worked many years as a PCA for home health care. She attended Midway Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, watching the Hallmark Channel, drinking coffee on the front porch and smoking a cigarette. In her younger years she enjoyed dancing and playing pool. Most of all, Betty loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Tammie Nutter and husband Wade of Calera, OK, Sharonda Daniel of Wapanucka, OK, Debbie Taylor and husband Kenny and Carla Drumm and husband Rick all of Coalgate; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; siblings, Billie Davis of Atoka, Chester Willeby and wife Brenda, Noel Gregory and husband Warren, all of Caney, OK; best friend, Carolyne McClure of Choctaw, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Stella Willeby; husband, Cleo Franklin Daniel, Sr.; son, Cleo Franklin Daniel, Jr.; grandson, Dylan Daniel; and siblings, Shirley Yates, Brenda McIninch, Darlene Crowell, Sandy Hale and Butch Willeby.
Casketbearers were Bradley Daniel, Jason Holder, Tanner Balentine, Forrest Daniel, Jared Drumm, Caleb Drumm, and Colby Drumm. Honorary casketbearers were Jeremy Renfro, Dick Drumm, Kenny Taylor, Josh Hardy, Tyler Sharp, Blake Dean, Hayden Renfro, Jeremy Archer, and William Archer.
