Our sympathies to the families of Carole Lynn Ellis

Carole Lynn Ellis, a Coalgate resident, passed away September 9, 2021 at Tulsa, OK at the age of 60 years, 4 months and 2 days. She was born May 7, 1961 to Richard Ellis and Barbara (Hanson) Rice at Glendale, CA. Carole attended Coalgate Schools and was a seamstress at Wrangler. She married Eddie Layton and enjoyed camping, fishing, and raising her chickens and dogs. She loved spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Layton of Cottonwood, OK; daughter, Lynn Riley and husband Andy of Ada, OK; son, Chester; granddaughter, Morgann Wilson; great-granddaughter, Anna Wilson and two more on the way; father, Richard Ellis; brother, Johnny Ellis, David Ellis and wife Kathy all of Chandler, OK and Richard Ellis Jr. of Coalgate, OK; sister, Lynn Holbert and husband Charles of Phillips, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Rice; sister, Donna Koons; brother, Steven Ellis and daughter, Peckerwood.
