Service held for Sibyl Mae Hearrell

Funeral services for Sibyl Mae (Vick) Hearrell, a Coalgate resident, were held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate, OK with Dana Cain Ladyman officiating. Burial was in Moore Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hearrell was born March 27, 1924 to John Wesley and Willie Pearl (Bracken) Vick at Optimus, AR and passed away September 15, 2020 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 96 years, 5 months and 18 days. She attended Olney School and mar ried Everett Johnson Hearrell on April 30, 1941 in Coalgate, OK. He preceded her in death on August 23, 1999. Sybil was a homemaker and a member of the Olney Baptist Church. She loved gardening, quilting and canning, but her greatest treasure was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Vicky Cain of Anadarko, OK, Paul Hearrell and wife Mable of Kingston, OK, Lonnie Hearrell, John Hearrell and wife Elsie, Joe Hearrell and wife Rhonda all of Olney, OK, Mark Hearrell and wife Carol of Moreland, OK and Rhonda Upchurch and husband David of Wapa-nucka, OK; twenty-five grandchildren; fifty-three great-grandchildren; forty great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Vick of Olney, OK; daughter-in-law, Tobie Hearrell of Ada, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Donald Hearrell and Obed Hearrell; sons-in-law, David Cain and Bobbie Waller; daughter-in-law, Elyse Hearrell; siblings, Pauline, Donnie, John Minor, Reece, Carl and Paul; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers were Lonnie Hearrell, Mark Hearrell, David Paul Waller, Justin Hearrell, Chad Hearrell, Lauren Hearrell and Robert Watkins. Honorary bearers were Stephen Hearrell, Lonnie Toehay, Dustin Hearrell, Ty Hearrell, Todd Hearrell, Jerod Hearrell, Christopher Tucker, Brandon Toehay, Kelby Tucker, Taylor Parks, Donald Parks, Tristan Sharp, and Brian Hearrell.
