Steven Lane Lynch

Funeral services for Steven Lane Lynch, a Centrahoma resident, were held Monday, March 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Centrahoma Baptist Church with Bro. David Daffern and Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Burial was in Centrahoma Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
Steven was born on December 20, 1948 to Emmit John and Emma (Stockton) Lynch at Ada, OK and passed away March 13, 2025 at Oklahoma City at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 21 days. He attended Centrahoma and Coalgate Schools. Steven graduated from Coalgate High School with the class of 1966. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from ECU in 1980. He also received his Administrator of Nursing Home License from OU in 1988. Steven owned the Sears Store of Ada and worked as a registered nurse for several different hospitals. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Steven married Bertha Gayle Bock on February 9, 1979 at the Centrahoma Baptist Church. He was passionate about God, his family and his work. Steven was third generation on his family farm.
Survivors include his wife Bertha Gayle Bock Lynch of the home in Centrahoma; children, Holly Bicknell and husband Lenny, Del Lynch and wife Shawna all of Centrahoma and Christopher Lynch and husband Chas Vandersypen of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Nell Howell of Centrahoma, Lenora Flowers of Grove, OK and Edie Lynch of Idaho; special friend, Charlie Reed; along with numerous nieces, nephews and dearly loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmit John and Emma (Stockton) Lynch; grandson, Brandon Lynch and brothers, Kenneth, Harold Vestle, Byron Glen and Emmit Wayne.
Casketbearers were Chas Vandersypen, Jonathan March, Dalton McClain, Erick Clements, Steven Johnson, Devin Johnson, Austin Lynch, Logan Lynch, Jagger Farris, and Tyler Componation. Honorary bearers were John Linton, Dan Phares, Charlie Reed, Ray Price, and Centrahoma Baptist Church Men.
