Service today for Charlene Nelson

Funeral Coalgate of Graveside services for Charlene Nelson of Bartlesville, formerly of Coalgate, will be held Wedn esday (today), September 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m, at Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Service of in charge arrangements.

Mrs. Nelson was born February 8, 1934 to Charlie Day and Myrtle Bell (Standridge) Manis at Coalgate, OK and passed away September 24, 2022 at Bartlesville, OK at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 16 days. She attended Centrahoma School and married James Allen Nelson May 11, 1950. He preceded her in death May 5, 2016. They enjoyed 66 years together. Charlene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coalgate, Eastern Star and the VA. She loved reading and art.

Survivors include her children, Suzette Nelson, James A.

Nelson and wife Pamela and Rhonda K. Satterfield and husband Dennis;

Robert Conway and wife Tami and Elizabeth Nelson; great-grandchildren, Jakob Satterfield, Mason Mantooth, Kaylen Satterfield, Gavin Tabor, Paige Conway, Hagen Mantooth, Ryan Tabor, Colton Conway and Elsie Gabriel; siblings, Frances Jobe, Melvin Turpin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Nelson; father, Charlie Manis; mother, Myrtle Turpin; sister, Gloria Burns; brother, Charles Manis; granddaughter, Katie Gabriel.
