Service held for Regina Robinette

Services for Regina Shurmet (Kerns) Robinette, a Tryon, OK, resident were held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Service in Coalgate with Pastor Steven Grotheer officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mrs. Robinette was born September 30, 1963 to Steve and Beulah Catherine (Davis) Kerns at Chandler, OK and passed away March 17, 2021 at Tryon, OK at the age of 57 years, 5 months and 17 days. She attended elementary school at Tryon and graduated from Perkins-Tryon School in 1981

Regina married Roy Daniel Robinette June 15, 1991 in Tryon and they spent 29 wonderful years together doing all the things they both loved. Regina was a receptionist at National Standard Power Plant and a member of the Christian Union Church in Tryon. The most important things to her were her family, kids, grandchildren and lake life. She was fun-loving, loved motorcycles, dancing and music. Regina brought hours of fun to everyone that knew her by jumping out and scaring them, spraying water at the kids or just chasing them around. She was definitely the life of the party.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Daniel Robinette of the home in Tryon; children, Damon Roy Robinette and Rachel of Tryon, Whitney Robinette and Trenton of Perkins, OK; grandsons, Brody Daniel Robinette and Bladen Cly Robinette of Perkins, OK; her K9 companion, Tillery; mother-in-law, Carolyn Ann Buchanan of Medford, OK; lifelong friends, Michael and Carol Williams of Chandler, OK; siblings, Tina Williams and Bob of Savage, MD, Renae Shelton of Henderson, TN, Katrina Talbot and Eric of Silver Creek, NE, Tonya Farasyn and husband Kurt of Parkland, OK and Mike Kerns and wife Charissa of Tryon; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Whitt of West Liberty, KY, Mary Ashcraft and husband Alvin of Chandler, Shirley Biby and husband Jerry of Wakita, OK and Ruth Guinn and husband Kevin of Coalgate, OK; brother-in-law, Danny Buchanan of Medford, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews and special Lake Eufaula friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Catherine (Davis) Kerns; father, Steve Edward Kerns; fathers-in-law, Roy Parmer Robinette and Jerry Buchanan and nephew Landyn Wade Graham.

Honorary casketbearers were Jonathon David Morgan, Jeremy Daniel Morgan, Kristopher Lee Graham, Ryan Parmer Graham, Logan Roy Graham, Cody Farasyn, Dustin McCarty and Dallas Talbot.
