Service held for Gary Blansett

Funeral services for Gary Blansett, 58, of McAlester were held Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chip Lott officiating. Burial followed at Hugh Low Cemetery in Scipio.

Gary was born July 11, 1962 in McAlester to Alfred and Billy Faye (Wilson) Blansett. He passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020, in McAlester at the age of 58.

Gary married Debra Blansett on July 8, 1994. He worked for United Parcel Service for many years and enjoyed fishing, hunting, side by sides and motorcycles.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Blansett of the home; daughter, Randall Lynn Eldridge and Rockey of McAlester; grandchildren, Peyton Elizabeth Duvall, Joshua Cole Eldridge and Zander Eldridge; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Betty Blansett of Ada, OK, Duane and Gladys Blansett of McAlester, Dusty and Carol Blansett of McAlester; brothers-in-law, Randy and Geri Clifton of McAlester and Rusty Clifton of McAlester; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Blansett and Billy Faye Blansett, and a son, Joshua Maffeo.

Pallbearers were David Clark, Danny McAfee, Vern Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Terry Johnson, Josh Rollins, Jarred Blansett and Ronnie Ragan.
