For the second consecutive year, Cottonwood School has been awarded an Innovative Approaches to Literacy grant by the U.S. Department of Education. The grant provided children’s books that focus on relationships between children and doctors and help children know what to expect when they go to a doctor without being afraid. On November 17, Cottonwood Superintendent John Daniel delivered a total of 240 books to Coal County General Hospital, the Coal County Health Department, and the Family Health Center of Southern Oklahoma.
