Several court officials and court employees attended a special luncheon at GonzalezMexican Restaurant in Coalgate. Judge Inge served as District Judge for Coal and Atoka Counties for 10 years. Prior to serving as District Judge, Paula practiced law in the Atoka area. Judge Inge plans to do some traveling and relaxing. Stepping in to fill her shoes as District Judge is D. Clay Mowdy. Judge Mowdy has served Coal and Atoka County as Associate District Judge for 16 years. Judge Mowdy served the Coalgate area as a local attorney before becoming Associate Judge in 2007. Coal and Atoka Counties also welcome Associate District Judge Joe Trail. Judge Trail graduated from University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2015. Mr. Trail served Coal and Atoka Counties as Assistant District Attorney from 2018-2022. Prior to working for the District Attorney’s office he worked in private practice in Ada from 20152018. Both judges were sworn in on January 9, 2023 and a breakfast reception was held in the courtroom in their honor for family and guests attending.
