Funeral services for Stoney Eugene Fairchild, a Coalgate resident, were held Monday, January 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Brother David Unsell officiating. Burial was in Cairo Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

She attended High Hill School and graduated from Atoka High School in 1969. Shirley was a seamstress and worked for Blue Bell/Wrangler. She married Allen Frank McKendrick October 8, 1970 at Atoka. They celebrated 47 years of marriage before his passing in 2017. Shirley was a member of New Zion Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, painting, knitting and cooking whatever they wanted for the grandchildren.
