Graveside services for Betty Jo (Burleson) Young, a Coalgate resident, were held Wednesday (today) May 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Coalgate Cemetery with Pastor David Unsell officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Then on Sundays and Wednesdays, I walked 14 blocks to church, again if I couldn’t look or sound pitiful and get a ride. But I could always stop at Folgers and get a hamburger for a quarter. These are some things that could have been said about the state of the state of Oklahoma and many surrounding states during this time: Some things couldn’t be repeated in a family newspaper.
