Kurtis J. Kirby, 53, Atoka, was arrested shortly after 2:00 a.m. December 28 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Broadway and E. Lafayette. Officer Christian Minyen, a Choctaw Lighthorse Police Officer crosscommissioned with the Coal County Sheriff’s Office, stopped Kirby’s Honda for having a border plate that obstructed the top part of the tag.

The Coalgate HOF Board today released the Elite 8 selections for the 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame. This group was chosen from a list of 22 finalists. The final vote will be tabulated in mid-January to name the prestigious class of 2025. Five finalists will be selected for enshrinement from this outstanding class list of candidates.
