Funeral services for Raymond Luther Jackson, a lifelong Coal and Atoka, OK resident, will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with the family officiating the service. Brown’s Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jackson was born December 29, 1953 to Kenneth Melvin and Betty Sue (Wallace) Jackson at Lehigh, OK and passed away January 13, 2025 at Atoka at the age of 71 years and 24 days. He attended Coalgate Public Schools and was the co-owner of Jones and Jackson Cabinets. Raymond was a talented carpenter.

There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build. He married Ahlona Lynn (Hopson) on August 8, 1986 at Reno, NV. They spent 35 wonderful years together before her passing on March 16, 2022. Raymond enjoyed carpentering, scuba diving, kayaking, motorcycle riding, eating, and watching Nascar.

He loved his children, grandchildren and family and always took care of everyone he came across.

Survivors include his children, Michael Ray Jackson and fianc’e Kitty of Mustang, OK, Stephen Ray Jackson and wife Megan of Tulsa, Barbara Ann Andrews and husband Kevin of Ada, Tracie Mullin of New York City, NY, Thomas Ray Jackson of Strafford, VA, Seneca Virginia Bartlett of Atoka, Bre Maretta Reilly and husband Dennis, Joshua Ray Jackson all of Stringtown, TX Jackson Losawyer and husband Jonathan of McKinney, TX; grandchildren, Brandon, Mason, Marrissa, Kenedy, McKenzie, Brodie, Skye, Keeria, Jacob, Griffin, Sarah, Sunny, Jackson, Raelyn, Naushe, Yuri, Taylor, and Harry; greatg randchildren, Tinley, Addison, Alyvea, Brooks, Liam, Lailey, Whiteley, Mallie and Zayden; siblings, Christina Herries of Springfield, OR, Rita Benson of Stringtown, Hopper Jackson of Coalgate, Jessie Jackson of Durant; David Tisdell of Frisco, TX and Tony Hensley of Daisy, OK; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Jackson and Betty Sue (Wallace) Hagar; wife Ahlona Jackson, daughter, Chandus Hoff; grandson, Watson Ray Griggs; brothers, Wally Jackson, Randall Jackson, and Michael Tisdell; sisters, Debbie Borjesson, Kay Jones, Jeanie Capshaw; and nephews, David Tidwell Jr., Eric Benson.
