Service Held for Sheila Kay McNutt
Funeral services for Sheila Kay McNutt, a Lehigh resident, were held Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Sharla Stephenson officiating. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McNutt was born June 30, 1952 to Estel Lavern and Ettie Viola (Taylor) Midkiff, at Coalgate, OK and passed away October 28, 2024 at Oklahoma City at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 28 days. She graduated from Tupelo High School in the Class of 1970 and attended college at Murray State.
Sheila was a homemaker and married James Lee McNutt October 5, 1971 at Coalgate First Baptist Church. They celebrated 52 years of marriage before his passing August 27, 2024. Sheila loved fishing, painting, making floral arrangements and spending time with family.
Survivors include her children, Scotty McNutt and wife Gina of Coalgate, Angela Dockrey and husband Garry of Shawnee, OK, Jeremy McNutt and wife Stephanie and Caleb McNutt, all of Coalgate; grandchildren, Shawntel Casey and husband Kendall, Makaylyn Mitchell and husband Josh, Taylor McNutt and wife Kylee, Tristan Franks and wife Toni, Maydelyne Lenamond and husband Austin, Alex McNutt and wife Harley, Mersadey McNutt and Axel McNutt; thirteen great-grandchildren, Madison, Grant, Stryker, Loudyn, Brynlee, Gabe, Gunther, Presley, Raya, Elayna, Opel, Jason, Rocky, Lucy and Scottie is on the way; brother, Rick Midkiff of Oklahoma City; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dearly loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee McNutt; parents, Estel Lavern and Ettie Viola (Taylor) Midkiff; brothers, Larry Midkiff and Ronnie Midkiff; sisters, Darlene Cagle and Tricia Midkiff; and greatgrandchildren, Katyn Powell, Lane Lenamond and Dawson Lenamond.
Casketbearers were Taylor McNutt, Tristan Franks, Alex McNutt, Axel McNutt, Kendall Casey, Josh Mitchell and Austin Lenamond. Honorary bearers were Rick Midkiff, Ronnie Palmer, Tomi Palmer and Jerry Battles.
