A graveside memorial service for Miller Durrett Collins, an Ardmore, Oklahoma, resident, will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Miller was born on September 1, 1934, to Burley and Martha Melissa Sestus (Burkhart) Collins, at Enterprise, Oklahoma. Miller passed away on October 21, 2024 at Midwest City, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 20 days.

Miller was the owner of National Foam and a retired rancher. He proudly served in the United States Army. Miller married Betty Lou Matthews on January 9, 1960, at First Baptist Church of Sulphur. They were blessed with 63 beautiful years together before her passing. Miller attended Coalgate and Clarita Methodist Church. Miller was a member of the PGA and several golf clubs.

Survivors include granddaughters, Marissa Tilghman and husband Jock of Matthews, NC and Nicole Collins of Midwest City, OK; great-grandsons, Kace and Boston Tilghman; siblings, Dwayne Collins and wife Dorothy of Oklahoma City, Darlene Truett and husband Pete of Bromide, OK, Vernon Collins and wife Elfi of Ocala, FL, and Johnnie Lou Peters of Mansville, TX; sister-in-law, Jean Collins of North Richland Hill, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Collins; parents, Morris Burley and Martha Melissa Sestus (Burkhart) Collins; son, Jerry Hugh Collins; daughter, Twana Lynn Collins; and sibling, Burk Collins, Jim Collins, Maron Collins, Bobbie Dean Davis, Felix Collins, and Berlene Swain.
