Funeral services for Zesta Angel (McNeely) Langston, a long time Atoka, OK resident, were held Monday, August 12, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Atoka Choctaw Community Building in Atoka with family and friends officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Langston was born December 27, 1957 to Cloretta (McNeely) Johnson at Coalgate, OK and passed away August 4, 2024 at Atoka, OK at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 8 days. She attended Mustang High School and married James Howard Langston June 19, 1982 in Oklahoma City. They celebrated almost 41 years of marriage before his passing on April 23, 2023. Angel was a housewife and homemaker, later on was a caretaker for LJ before his passing. She enjoyed gardening, watching soap operas, especially General Hospital and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sister, Zestina Johnson of Atoka; daughters, Susan Kennedy and husband Billy of Rolla, MO, Javonna McNeely and Jack Sanders, Elwana Redding, all of Atoka, Kayla Langston and Tyrell Henson of Stringtown, and Ariana Langston of Atoka; granddaughters, Jazmyne McNeely Langston, Gabrielle Langston and Justin Hendricks, Lacey Henderson, all ofAtoka, Heavenly Janewayne and husband Delane of Shawnee, OK and Ally Kennedy of Rolla, MO; grandsons, Cody Johnson, Xavier Scott, and Shakoda Henson all of Atoka; great-grandchildren, Avery, Carter, Bodhi, Luka, Leo, Elizabeth and Raven; nephews, Zaiden Johnson, Mychael Johnson, both of Atoka; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cloretta (McNeely) Johnson; husband, James Howard Langston; son, Roy Stephens, Jr., and grandson, Simon Janewayne.

Honorary casketbearers were Mychael Johnson, Zaiden Johnson, Cody Johnson, Justin Hendricks, Brandon Webb and Tyrell Henson.
