Jimmy Dale Smith

Visitation for Jimmy Dale Smith, Jr. will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate.

Jimmy was born March 1, 1960 to Jimmy Dale Smith, Sr. and Mary Leota (Osban) Smith at Oklahoma City and passed away November 1, 2023 at Coalgate at the age of 63 years and 8 months. He attended Tupelo School and was an auto mechanic. Jimmy served in the U. S. Navy and married Melissa Ellen Preheim on January 28, 1983. They’ve enjoyed 40 wonderful years together. Jimmy was a member of the Sierra Bass Club and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his loving family.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Ellen Smith of the home in Coalgate; daughters, Stacy Renee Smith of Coalgate, Stacie Renee Vander Tuig and husband Mike Vander Tuig of Madera, CA, and Tarlisa Baldwin and husband Jeffery of Tupelo; grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Rosemary Pease, Justin Pease, Jacob Pease, Jeramyah Smith, Kaycee Smith, Malakhy Smith, Leilani Zamora, Joshua Petty, Tayzer Petty, Isabella Delgado, Nicholas Delgado, Jacob Delgado, Michael Vandertuig, Anna Lynn Baldwin, Isabel Baldwin and baby on the way, Jeffery James Baldwin; greatgrandson, Jaydin Smith Rodriguez; siblings, Debra Bailey and husband Gary of Coalgate, Sandra Stith and husband Bill of Tupelo, Gordon Smith and wife Kelly, and Judy Wallace, all of Coalgate; aunt, Wanda Rodman of Tribby, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dearly loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Dale Smith, Sr. and Mary Leota (Osban) Smith; son, Larry Smith; daughter, Amanda Smith; brothers, David Smith and Claude Smith; grandson, Jared Pease; and greatgranddaughter, Adalynn Rae Moralez Ambriz.
