Service Friday for Kenneth Ray Denson

Funeral services for Kenneth Ray Denson, a Tupelo resident, will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Coalgate with Bro. Will Clark officiating. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Thursday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Denson was born October 11, 1969 to Hershel Ray and Carol Ann (Ridley) Denson at Ada, OK and passed away December 5, 2022 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 53 years, 1 month and 24 days. He graduated from Olney High School Class of 1987 and married Shonda Renee Wellington June 4, 1994 at Eureka Springs, AR. They’ve enjoyed 28 wonderful years together. Kenneth was the manager of Ada United Rental Store and a member of the First Baptist Church in Coalgate. He enjoyed his cattle, camping and fishing. His favorite times were spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Shonda Renee Denson of the home in Tupelo, OK; children, Jennifer Gurley and husband Ray of Liberty Hill, TX, Ryan Denson and wife Lindsey of Yukon, OK and Allie Couey and husband Matt of Ada, OK; grandchildren, Gabriel, Faith, Banner, Harisen, Ava, Raylee and baby Couey due April 2023; mother, Carol Ann Denson of Olney; brother, Kyle Denson and wife Jessica of Coalgate; nephew and nieces, Katyn, Ava and Jaxon; along with other family and dearly loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Ray Denson; maternal grandparents, Ray and Margaret Ridley; and paternal grandmother, Lorene Denson.
