James Daniel Estes

Funeral services for James “Danny” Daniel Estes an Atoka, OK resident, were held Friday, November 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with family members officiating. Burial was in Lehigh Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Estes was born August 4, 1954 to Bernice Arthur and Lola Florene (Allen) Estes at Boswell, OK and passed away November 14, 2022 at Atoka at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 10 days. He graduated from Bokchito High School and went on to attend college. Danny was a carpenter, a christian and a follower of Jesus. He enjoyed antiquing, wood working, knife and jewelry making.

Survivors include his children, Nathaniel Estes of Eureka Springs, AR, Aaron Estes and wife Jessica near Ada, OK and Kimberly Morrison and husband Jared of Stratford, OK; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; aunt Reba Eddings of Coalgate, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Arthur and Lola Florene (Allen) Estes; and brother Don Henderson.

Casketbearers were Marvin Estes, Jared Morrison, Aaron Estes, Nate Estes, Les Peevyhouse and Gene Broome.
