Service held for Glenda Ruth Lansdale

Funeral services for Glenda Ruth (Moore) Lansdale, a lifelong Stringtown resident, were held T u e s d a y , October 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Stringtown Baptist Church with Bro. Joey Lansdale and Bro. Loyd Thompson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Stringtown with Brown’s Funeral Service ofAtoka in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lansdale was born June 9, 1937 to Thomas Jefferson and Mattie Irene (Stanford) Moore at Stringtown, OK and passed away October 21, 2022 at the age of 85, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She graduated from Stringtown High School and married Jackie D. Lansdale December 7, 1954 at McAlester, OK. They celebrated nearly 68 years of marriage. Glenda was a housewife and homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper at Atoka Hospital. She was a member of Stringtown Church and served 55 years as a clerk, treasure and Sunday School teacher. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glenda ran Jacks Grocery Store for 21 years. She loved to read and cook and was very humble and kind. Glenda enjoyed spending time with family especially her grand-children and greatgrand-children and will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Jackie D. Lansdale of Stringtown; sons, Joey Lansdale and wife Shelly of Stringtown and Randy Lansdale and wife Lori of Kingston, OK; daughter-inlaw, Dianna Lansdale of Stringtown; sister, Carol Bishop of TN; grandc hildren, Daniel Lansdale, Jacob Lansdale, Emily Fincher and husband D o n n y , Dwight Lansdale, Eddie Lansdale and wife Mandi and Nathan Lansdale and wife Ashlee; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Lansdale, Aries Lansdale, Chad Lansdale, Hadleigh Jo Lansdale, Galexie Lansdale, Hallie Lansdale, Colten Lansdale, Braydan Lansdale,FaithLoveland, Laruis Lansdale, Alyssa Loveland, Trinity Fincher, Alyssa Fincher, and Jules Fincher; along with nieces, nephews, other relative and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jefferson and Mattie Irene (Stanford) Moore; son, Jerry Lansdale; grandson, Thomas Lansdale; granddaughter, Kellee Lansdale; and siblings, Tommy Moore, Betty Manion, Linda Moore Hinkle, Dan Moore, and David Moore.
