Cherry Dawn Adcock
Cherry Dawn Adcock of Coalgate, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the age of 60. She went peaceful within her home. Dawn was born April 29, 1962, in Chandler, Oklahoma to John and Iva Fritz. She married Amos Dennis Adcock June 10, 1985. Together they had seven children.
Dawn taught in the school system for 28 years and many of those years were at Cottonwood Public School, where she taught math. She loved to teach, travel and spend time with her family. Her favorite place to go was Disney World. She took as many of her grandkids with her to travel as possible. Dawn enjoyed doing everything with her best friend, Jennifer and their boys Isaac and Blade. She loved nothing more than a houseful of her children and grandchildren, no matter how loud it could get. She was loved and will be missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Amos Adcock of the home in Coalgate; daughters, Shannon Humphreys and husband Mike of Centrahoma, Amanda Roebuck and husband Daniel of Coalgate, Echo Van Mil of Jenks, OK, Sabrina Needham and husband Rodney and Stephanie Wagnon and husband Johnny all of Enterprise, OK; son, Isaac Adcock of Coalgate; bonus son, Blade Horton of Coalgate; grandsons, Tysin Davis and wife Marra of Red Oak, OK, Gharytt Davis and wife Cheyenne of Quinton, OK, Taylor Davis of Wilburton, OK, Blazyn McKee of Enterprise, OK, Spencer Shaffer and wife Amy of McAlester, OK, Chasyn Wagnon of Enterprise, OK, Dash Roebuck of Coalgate, OK; granddaughters, Marie Humphreys, Anna Humphreys both of Oklahoma City, Presley Humphreys of Centrahoma, Ever Roebuck of Coalgate and Sydney Enloe and husband Cody of McAlester, OK; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Susan Helberg and husband Mark of Crescent, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dearly loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Iva Fritz and daughter, Natalie Adcock.
Services were held Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Jean Brown officiating. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
Casket bearers were Tysin Davis, Gharytt Davis, Taylor Davis Thomas Fritz, John Fritz and Blazyn McKee. Honorary bearers were Thomas L. Fritz, Johnny Fritz, Brandon Acosta, Ryfle Gold, Bradyn Gold, Jason Ennis and Kirk Kennedy.
