Patricia Faye Callicoat

Graveside services for Patricia Faye Callicoat, a lifleong Atoka resident, were held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Callicoat Family Cemetery in Blackjack, OK with Rev. Bill Roberson officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Callicoat was born February 8, 1924, to Elonzo “Lonnie” and Emma Ethel (Taylor) Brown at Coalgate, OK and passed away June 15, 2022, at Atoka, OK at the age of 98 years, 4 months and 7 days. She attended Roff School and married Cecil Callicoat February 9, 1941, at Durant, OK. They spent 61 wonderful years together before his passing in 2002. Patricia was co-owner of Callicoat Grocery and Meat Processing. She was also a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Full Gospel Church of Atoka and was very dedicated to her church. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking care of her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Loyd Callicoat and wife Lauri, and Terry Don Callicoat and wife Barbara, all of Atoka; grandchildren, Terry Shawn Callicoat, Tammy Dawn Callicoat, Brett Callicoat and wife Shelly all of Atoka, Amy Callicoat Harbin and husband Roger of Checotah, Doug Lewis and wife Regina,

Chris Lewis and wife Jackie, all of Atoka, Steve Lewis and wife Kirsten of Lane, OK, Nathan Loyd Callicoat, and Jacob Callicoat and wife Bailey, all of Atoka; fourteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Virginia French of Oklahoma City; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elonzo “Lonnie” Wesley and Emma Ethel (Taylor) Brown; husband Cecil Callicoat; daughter, Renay Lewis; sisters, Alene Smith, Oleta Winborn, Maxine Bagby, Bonnie Sue Brown; brothers, Jake Brown, David Brown, Carl Brown; grandson, Ethan Loyd Callicoat; and great-grandson Judson Cash Dunc.

Casket bearers were Terry Shawn Callicoat, Chris Lewis, Steve Lewis, Nathan Callicoat, Jacob Callicoat, Brett Callicoat and Doug Lewis. Honorary bearers were Dakota Callicoat, Cooper Callicoat, Dustin Callicoat and Dalton Callicoat.
