Service Saturday for Connie J. Spears

Services for Connie J. (Shockey) Spears, a Coalgate resident, will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Ms. Spears was born February 5, 1959 to Bill and Vera Mae (Archer) Shockey at Ada, OK and passed away February 20, 2022 at Durant, OK at the age of 63 years and 15 days. She graduated from Coalgate High School and was a surgical nurse. Connie was of the Presbyterian faith. She enjoyed working, collecting things and watching movies.

Survivors include her siblings, Betty N. Warren of Coalgate, Bill Shockey and wife Linda of Ada, Doris Ruth and husband Jackie of Eunice, NM, Jimmy Shockey, Janie Pierce, both of Coalgate; best friend, Gale Thomas of Atoka, OK; goddaughters, Katy Hedgecock and Lacy Sanders, both of Atoka; grandchildren, Nakenzie Quarterman, Libby O’Brien, and Braxton O’Brien, all of Atoka; beloved dog, Itty Bitty; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of dearly loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Vera Mae (Archer) Shockey; brothers, Bobby G. Shockey and Jerry Ike Shockey, and sister, Shirley Pratt.
