Jerry Grant Rogers passes away

Jerry Grant Rogers was born January 13, 1942, to Walter and Alma (Farquhar) Rogers at Sallisaw, OK. He passed away December 18, 2021, in Tulsa, OK at the age of 79.

Jerry married Carolyn Ann Rupe in 1959 in Tulsa, and over the years the couple became parents to Tony, Becky, Mark, Brian and Justin. Professionally, Jerry worked for Mid-South Partitions Tulsa and retired after 50 years of company service.

He found personal enjoyment in hunting and was proficient with both gun and bow. He developed strong skills in woodworking and those were evident in the numerous projects and houses he crafted. Jerry and Carolyn had a joint love of gardening and shared their vegetable harvests with family, friends and neighbors.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alma Rogers; wife Carolyn; sons Tony and Justin; and sister Wilma Rogers McCosar.

He is survived by his daughter Becky (Ward); sons Brian and Mark, Tulsa, OK; sisters Glenda Smedley, Tulsa, OK, and Wanda Utterback, Coalgate, OK; brothers Dennis Rogers, Tulsa, OK, and Jimmy Rogers, Coalgate, OK; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.

Visitation and viewing were held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Legacy Chapel, Woodland Memorial Park, Sand Springs, OK. Interment was Monday, December 27, 2021, at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Dillon Funeral Service, Sand Springs.
