Service held for William Mark Hefley
Funeral services for William Mark Hefley were held Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Eddie Hogue officiating. Burial was in Moore Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hefley was born August 17, 1964 to Billy and Patricia Ellis (Calvert) Hefley at McAlester, OK and passed away December 14, 2021 at the age of 57 years, 3 months and 28 days. He grew up around Clarita, OK, graduating from Olney School in 1982. Mark went on to work at Boeing/Spirit in 1984, where he retired on December 3, 2020 after 36 years. In his younger years Mark liked to hunt and fish. You could almost always find him outside. After becoming a dad, he loved to fish with his boys and watch them bring home big bucks during hunting season. Standing on the fence line for sand races and watching his boys play baseball is what he loved most. There wasn’t a ball game or race he would miss. Above all else, his greatest joy was his grandchildren and was so proud to be called “Papa.” Nothing brought a smile to is face like spoiling his grandkids, especially taking them for 4-wheeler or buggy rides. Mark married Joyce Ann Brown in Mena, Arkansas on July 9, 1999.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Joyce Hefley; son, Tyler Hefley and grandchildren, Kealee and Blake Hefley; son, Ryan Hefley, daughter-in-law, Stephanie and grandchildren, Waylon and Wyatt Hefley; stepdaughter, Kyla Reinhart, son-in-law John and step grandchildren, Brailey, Carsyn, and Harper Reinhart; uncle Charles and Delores Calvert; along with numerous cousins and many dearly loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Patricia Hefley; uncles, Hugh Hefley, Howard Hefley and Paul Calvert.
Casketbearers were Howard Davidson, Curtis Golden, Remmel Spencer, Lee Wilcox, Billy Ray and Wade Washburn. Honorary bearers were Victor Dalpaos, Rusty Campbell and Pumpkin Davidson.
