Funeral services for Ronald David Jones, a Coalgate resident, were held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Phillip Magby officiating. Interment was in Resthaven Cemetery in Corsicana, TX with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jones was born August 2, 1944 to Richard David Jones and Winnford (Ware) Tramel at Ragley, LA and passed away September 7, 2021 at Oklahoma City at the age of 77 years, 1 months and 5 days. He graduated from Ragley High School in 1960 and served in the US Army. Ronald married Donna Gail Tramel on October 17, 1975 in Dallas, TX. He was a carpenter and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lehigh, OK. Ronald enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and building stuff. He loved spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Gail (Tramel) Jones of the home in Coalgate; children, Tabbey Easley and Davis Perry of Dawson, TX, Donna Nutt and David Gantt of Chicota, TX, Teresa Tenery and husband Scotty of Alvarado, TX, Kimberly Riley and husband Tom of Coalgate, OK, and Katelyn Jones and Joseph Wayman of Antlers, OK; sister, Sandra McGomery of De Quincy, LA; brother, Rodger Keith Jones and wife Dwana of De Quincy, LA; sisters-in-law, Verena Mae Jones of Longville, LA and Dee Jones of Harrison, AR; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear and loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard David Jones and Winnford (Ware) Tramel; son Ronald David Jones, Jr.; brothers, Freeman Jones and Clyde Jones; and brother-in-law, Gene McGomery. Casketbearers were Kyle
Casketbearers were Kyle Degner, RJ King, Jake Nutt, Joe Jones, George Tramel Jr., and Isaiah Rodriguez. Honorary bearers were Johnny Gordon, Ronnie Staten, Brad Taylor, and David Malke.
