Memorial to be scheduled for Roy Don Blackmon

Roy Don Blackmon, a Coalgate resident, passed away August 16, 2021 at the age of 68. He was born October 24, 1952 to Lee Roy and Virgie (Lankford) Blackmon at Coalgate, OK. Roy Don was a carpenter, construction and pipeline worker.

Survivors include his children, Lisa (Blackmon) Fergus and husband Mike of Burleson, TX, Jeff Blackmon and wife Courtney of Weatherford, OK and Katy (Blackmon) Ballance and husband, Kolton of San Marcos, TX; grandchildren, Jett Blackmon, Jackson Blackmon, Brooke Blackmon, Lucy Ballance and Tayden Hansard; siblings, Carol Sue (Blackmon) Stiles of Coalgate, OK, Peter Blackmon and wife Julie of Brisbane, Australia and Anne (Blackmon) Mazibrada of Adelaide, Australia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Virgie (Lankford) Blackmon; stepfather, Jess (Mage) Yother and brother-in-law, Billy Stiles.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
