Service held for Jimmie Lue Jones

Funeral services for Jimmie Lue (Williams) Jones, a Coalgate resident, were held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Mr. Joey Lansdale officiating. Burial was in McCarty Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jones was born October 17, 1939 to Levvriett and Susan Ellen (Helt) Williams in Atoka, OK and passed away February 22, 2020 in Cottonwood, OK at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 5 days.

She attended Atoka Schools. Jimmie later received her dietary license and worked as a dietitian for many years, was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress and cook. Her Baptist faith was very important to her. She spent her last weeks listening to her traditional hymns.

Survivors include daughters, Jerri Breger and husband Gary of Apache, OK and Judy Hunnicut of Centerville, SD; son, Charles Jones of Cottonwood, OK; granddaughters, Rebecca (Edward) Wiseman, Hannah Thurman (Matt), RaeLyn (Brandon) Bennett; grandsons, Delmond Featherston, Jr. (Ashley), Zachary Hunnicut; great-grandchildren, Savannah Stone (Harley), Trinity Wiseman, Elizabeth Stone, Akosha Wiseman, Keithon Featherston, Kooper Featherston, Bella Featherston, Presley Bennett, Dexter Bennett, Ben Wiseman, Tyton Wiseman, Nayson Wiseman, Dylan Stone; one great-great-granddaughter, Billie Mae Hamlin; sisters, Ann Johnson, Linda Steagall (John), Ruth Williams, Shirley Layton (Louis); brother, Wayne Williams; along with nieces, nephews, and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Paul Williams, Lonnie Williams, Joe Williams, John Williams, and Charles Williams; sisters, Lynn Nelson, Betty McKeen, Kathy Mannon; and great-granddaughter, Angel Faith Stone.

Casketbearers were Delmond Featherston, Jr., Zach Hunnicut, Ben Wiseman, Tyton Wiseman, Dylan Stone and Dustin Dowdy. Honorary bearers were Jr. Wiseman, Jimmy Lambert, Cliff Long, Dexter Bennett, Corky Acosta, Harley Hamlin, Brandon Bennett, Doug Williams, and Shane Cole.
