Windy Sue (Winningham) Ables

Memorial services for Windy Sue (Winningham) Ables, a Coalgate resident, will be held Friday, February 28, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Mr. Jeff Roebuck officiating.

Mrs. Ables was born June 18, 1950 to Calvin and Ruthie Mae (Godwin) Winningham at Tulare, CA and passed away February 21, 2020 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 69 year, 8 months and 3 days. She received her diploma from Olney School, received her Bachelors Degree from SEOSU in Elementary Education and attended Vo-Tech for her nursing degree. Windy was a school teacher for many years, was a nurse and had also worked at Wrangler in Coalgate. She married Howard Richard Ables on May 27, 1968 in Coalgate. Windy was of the Baptist faith. She served on the Olney Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 year. Windy enjoyed quilting, her I Pad, sewing and reading, but her greatest love was watching her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Richard Ables; son, Michael Ray Ables and Julie Kruse of Omak, WA; daughter, Kimberly Jo Foster and Michael Stacy of Coalgate; grandchildren, Kalie Taylor and Stetson of Wapanucka, OK, Kendel Foster of Olney, OK, Leicie Ables and A. J. Bleakney of Omak, WA, Sidney Ables and Kanen Ables, both of Omak, WA; great-grandchildren, Kinsler Taylor and Whitley Taylor of Wapanucka, OK, Chloe Bleakney and Adleigh Calentine of Omak, WA and one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Charlene Eastridge and Neal of Panama City, FL; brothers, Rusty Winningham and Fran of Jacksonville, AR, Fred Winningham and Leslie of Casa Grande, AZ and Tony Winningham and JoAnn of Colbert, OK; along with numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Lonee and Ruthie Mae (Godwin) Winningham and sister, Jackie Simpson.
