Georgia Myree Boone

Graveside services for Georgia Myree (Shatswell) Boone, a Lexington resident, were held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Tribbey Cemetery in Tribbey, OK with Butch Francis officiating.

Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Boone was born April 24, 1929 to Benjamin Franklin and Lela Belle (Stubblefield) Shatswell at Artussee, OK and passed away December 26, 2019 at Norman, OK at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 2 days. She attended Vivian Junior High School and married Joe Ray Boone, Sr. September 10, 1945. He preceded her in death October 10, 1987. Georgia was a school cook for 15 years, worked at Wonder Bread Bakery in OKC for 17 years and also worked at the Sandmann Cafe in Tribbey, OK for 10 years. She loved gardening, cooking and raising farm animals.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Lee and wife Donna Boone, and Joe Ray and wife Donna Boone; eight grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Eual Dean and Reetha Shatswell Athagene and Roy Flood, Billy Joe and Geraldine Shatt and Donald Lee and Pat Shatswell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Erick and Pauline Shatswell Goldie

Shatswell, Ruth and Lloyd Burns, Junior and Lois Shatswell, Geraldine and JB Hamilton, Beatrice and Elliott Bowls, Eva May and Carl Rogers, Imogene Shatswell and Bobby Shatswell.

Casketbearers were Justin Boone, Daniel Boone, Travis Boone, Payton Swanick, Den-son Cable, and Thad Rogers.
