Service held for Jackie Lee Cooksey

Funeral services for Jackie Lee (Lynn) Cooksey, a longtime Lehigh resident, were held Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Lynn Tyson officiating, assisted by Rev. Bruce Herion. Burial was in Lehigh Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mrs. Cooksey was born January 4, 1962 to Claudis and Birdie (Airington) Lynn at El Reno, OK and passed away October 3, 2019 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 57 years, 8 months and 29 days. She attended school at Lehigh and Coalgate and was a nurse and caregiver. Jackie was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Jesus Name Church in Coalgate. She enjoyed floral crafting, loved making fried pies and tamales and was the most giving person and would do anything for you.

Survivors include her mother, Birdie (Airington) Conaway of Lehigh; son, Erik Lynn and wife Brandy of Cartwright, OK; daughter, Jamey Lee Lynn and Travis Bourland of Lehigh; special daughter, Tammie Ortiz of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, McKenzie Lynn, Spencer Lynn, Tucker Lynn and Lyric Boomer Bourland; sister Vickie Washington and husband Marion of Lehigh, Robin Brinlee and husband Mark of Durant, Kathy Galvano and husband Bryan of Hugo and Amanda Spears and husband Ralph of Finley; brother Shawn Conaway of Lehigh; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, C. J. Lynn; grandparents, Bessie Airington and William Airington; and grandson, Kade Garrett Lynn.

Casketbearers were James Horn, Chris Horn, Larry Hensley, Kenny McIninch, Travis Bourland, and Buddy Cottrell. Honorary casketbearers were Carly Hensley, David Carrol, Danny English, Alfred Horn, Bessie McIninch, Claudia Cottrell, Debbie Airington and Timothy Horn.
