Velma “Deana” Verdeana Frazier
Funeral services for Velma “Deana” Verdeana Frazier, a lifelong Atoka County, Bentley, OK resident will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Bentley Baptist Church in Bentley, OK with Bro. Jim Bob Lewis and Bro. Richard Magby officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Frazier was born January 15, 1927 to Henry and Mae (Chavers) French and entered Heaven December 3, 2023 from Atoka, OK at the age of 96 years, 10 months and 18 days. She attended Grassy Lake School and married Kenneth Claude Frazier December 26, 1952 at Durant, OK. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before his passing on December 27, 2008. Deana was a housewife and homemaker, owned and operated restaurants, (Frazier Cafe and Tushka Truck Stop), cooked many places and worked in California a few years before moving back to Bentley. She was a lifelong member of Bentley Baptist Church and was very active in the church’s activities, was a member of the DAV Auxiliary, loved cooking, quilting, embroidering and being with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Deana spent a lifetime trying to figure out who her favorite grandchild was.
Survivors include her children, Lena Novell Daniel and husband Randy of Atoka, Nadine McDaniel of Bentley, Gaylene Diane Riley and husband Scott of Atoka; special nieces, Sheila Conner of Moore, OK and Cheryl McClure of Bentley; grandchildren, Valerie Wilson and spouse Chris, Andrew Danderson, Kristen Fletcher Byrd, Jessica Lynn Hemphill and husband, David, Randell Shane Daniel and wife Vickie, Kenneth Eugene Daniel and wife Sara, Don Daniel and wife Natalie, Rock McDaniel and wife Audree, Travis McDaniel and wife Jessica, Sarah Beth Bryant and husband Wacey, and Blaine Riley and wife Robin; thirty-four greatgrandchildren; fourteen + great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Claude Frazier; parents, Henry and Mae (Chavers) French; son, Jay Steven Fletcher; daughter, Judith Mae Danderson; sisters, Alpha Cremeans, Inais Rains and husband Jr. Rains, and brothers, Grady French, Elmer French and wife Elfie.
Casketbearers will be grandsons, Shane Daniel, Kenny Daniel, Don Daniel, Rocky McDaniel, Travis McDaniel, Blaine Riley and Andrew Danderson. Honorary bearers will be Bentley Fire Dept., Clint and JoAnne French, Larry Rains, Gary Rains, and JoAnne Danderson.
