Tupelo Tigers win regionals; Head to state tournament
After winning the regionals, the Tupelo Tigers Varsity Team is now headed to state.

Harley Davidson didn’t allow a single run as Tupelo Tigers Varsity defeated Asher 6-0 on Thursday. Davidson allowed just two hits.
Tupelo Tigers Varsity got things moving in the first inning when Peyton Bills’ sac fly scored one run for Tupelo Tigers Varsity.
Tupelo Tigers Varsity scored three runs in the sixth inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by Taecyn Meek and a sacrifice fly by Brody McCollum.
A single by Kuhlman in the fifth inning was a positive for Asher.
Davidson earned the victory on the hill for Tupelo Tigers Varsity. The righty allowed two hits and zero runs over seven innings striking out 13.
Culwell took the loss for Asher. Culwell lasted four innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out four.
Tupelo Tigers Varsity totaled six hits. McCollum and Cody Airington each managed multiple hits for Tupelo Tigers Varsity. Airington and McCollum all had two hits to lead Tupelo Tigers Varsity.

Cody Airington had all the right stuff on Friday for Tupelo Tigers Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Bowell by a score of 1-0.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Airington struck out 11, while the Boswell pitcher sat down five.

Tupelo Tigers Varsity totaled six hits in the game. Dalton O’dell and Colton Bourland each had multiple hits for Tupelo Tigers Varsity. Bourland and O’dell each collected two hits to lead Tupelo Tigers Varsity.
Tupelo Tigers are 2021 Fall Regional Champs and are headed to state. They will play Glencoe Thursday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Edmond Santa Fe.
