Service today for Michael Hampton
Funeral services for Michael Wayne Hampton, a Duncan resident, will be held Wednesday (today) November 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Delbert White officiating. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coal-gate in charge of arrangements.
Michael was born January 28, 1961 to Charlie Loy and Valencia Mae (Davidson) Hampton at Frederick, OK and passed away November 13, 2019 at Duncan, OK at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 16 days. He attended and graduated from Chattanooga High School in 1979 and married Sandra Louise Mason on November 17, 1981 in Coal-gate First Baptist Church. Michael was a welder for Sooner Trailers. He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and doing leather work. His greatest joy was taking care of his grandchildren and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Louise Hampton of Duncan, OK; three daughters, Carolene Stringfellow and husband Mack, Cecelia Hampton and Carissa Anderson, all of Duncan, OK; grandchildren, Maddie String-fellow, Alivia String-fellow, Cole Anderson, Alejandro Aguirre and Cailyn Anderson; siblings, Ronnie Loy Hampton and wife Dana of Cottonwood, George David Hampton of Marlow, OK, Barbara Cameron-Stuart of McAlester, OK, Billy Joe Hampton and wife Pauline of Jerusalem, Arkansas, and Frank Allen Hampton and wife Donna of Erin Springs, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Casey Anderson; brothers, Charles Laverne Hampton, Richard Lee Hampton, and Jimmy Ray Hampton and sister, Rosalie Flores.
Casketbearers will be Michael Hampton, Davey Hampton Keith Hampton, Robert Hampton, Jim Fred Hall, and Mack Stringfellow. Honorary bearers will be Cole Anderson, Alejandro Aguirre, John Hampton, Todd Coats and Bobby Hall.
