Service Thursday for Eddie French

Memorial services for Elvin “Eddie” Edward French, a Coalgate resident, will be held Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Bruce Herion officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of services.

Mr. French was born May 22, 1953 to Elvin and Daisy Irene (Callicoat) French at Oklahoma City, OK and passed away September 14, 2020 at Oklahoma City at the age of 67 years, 3 months and 23 days. He attended Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City and was a welder and drove a bus for the Big Five. He married Mary Ann (McLellan) on January 25, 1991 at Cottonwood. She preceded him in death August 6, 2018. Eddie was a member of the Jesus Name Church in Coalgate and enjoyed fishing, wood working, hunting, singing and playing with his grand babies.

Survivors include his daughters, Cari Villareal and Cathy Nuckolls, both of Coalgate; son, Keith French of Bentley, OK; step-son, Rick McKinney and wife Freida of Phillips, OK; sister, Linda Mundell of Atoka, OK; brother, Billy French and wife Patricia of Ada, OK; grandchildren, Kourtney, Laci, Micheal, Timothy, Larry, Allison, Tina, Jacob and Willie; great-grandchildren, Lily, Payton, Emersyn, Kinzley, Gunter, Teigha, Rayven, Rythom, Tyson, Winchester, Chloe, Kyleigh and Anni; along with other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (McLellan) French; parents, Elvin and Daisy Irine (Callicoat) French; daughter, Brandy French; step-daughter, Pam Pothoff; and great-granddaughter, Alyzabeth Griffith.
