Service Saturday for Ruby Clara Cole

Funeral services for Ruby Clara (Sioux) Cole, a longtime Coalgate resident, will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with the family officiating. Burial will be in Lonestar Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Dinner will follow the service on Saturday at the Choctaw Community Center in Coalgate. Family night is Friday, August 2, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Cole was born August 31, 1968 to Grove and Dora (Flyingman) Sioux and passed away July 24, 2024 at Coalgate at the age 75 years, 10 months and 24 days. She was a cook at Circle N for many years. Ruby married Preston Wayne Cole Sr. on April 23, 1982 at Oklahoma City and they celebrated 18 years together before his passing on November 8, 2000. Ruby was a member of the Lonestar Cumberland Presbyterian Church and enjoyed cooking and sewing blankets by hand. She was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Tyrone Buckley, Arthur Louis Buckley, Robert Buckley, Preston Cole Jr. and wife Kimberly all of Coalgate and Priscella Cole and husband Juan Romero of Pampa, TX; grandc hildren, Alizaye B u c k l e y , T o n y Morales, Tyson B u c k l e y , Preston Cole III, Rhoda Buckley Elizabeth Romero, Selena Romero, Creed Pickens Cole and Corinne Pickens Cole; sister-in-law, Marsha Burgess of Coalgate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Wayne Cole, Sr.; parents, Grover and Dora (Flyingman) Sioux; son, Allen Gene Buckley, Jr,; grandsons, Dominic Morales and infant baby Morales.

Casketbearers will be Donnie Lee III, Jonathan Ellis, James Frazier, Noble Coslow, Donnie Anderson and Brandon Cole. Honorary casketbearers will be Juan Romero, Alvin Cagle and Jim Wilson.
