Service held for Ronald Carrell

Funeral services for Ronald Austin Carrell of Tupelo, OK, were held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Atoka Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Daffern officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Tupelo with Atoka Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carrell was born September 19, 1945 to Austin Edward and Velma Odessa (McColgin) Carrell in Rolla, MO and passed away November 1, 2018 in Tupelo at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 22 days. Ronald was a veteran of the U. S. Army, was an auto mechanic and owned his own shop. He married Annie Bell Compton on October 29, 1966 in Rockwell, TX.

Survivors include his wife Annie Bell Carrell of the home in Tupelo; two sons, Ronald Steven Carrell and wife Kimberly of Centrahoma and Jacky Daniel Carrell of Grant Pass, OK; four daughters, Vicki Jo Gilmore and husband Jeff of Stratford, MO, Bobbie Jo Grigg and husband Charles of Tupelo, OK, Velma Odesa Smith and husband Billy of Union City, OK and Elizabeth Carrell Smith of Texas; one sister, Betty Frances Coplen of Coalgate; twelve grandchildren, Amy, Steven, Eric, Jakota, Harli, Jamie, Heather, Wesley, Ashley, Andrew, Nila and Kirk; ten great-grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Anna Marie; five brothers, Edward Lee Carrell, Bobby Dean Carrell, Joseph Leroy Carrell, Leland Melton Carrell and William Mac Carrell.
