Service held for Micky Lee Elliott, Sr.

Funeral services for Micky Lee Elliott Sr., a Coalgate resident, were held Wednesday (today), December 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Paula Carney officiating. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Elliott was born July 19, 1952 to Odis Lee and Ollie Leona (Pruitt) Elliott at Altus, OK and passed away December 24, 2021 at Coalgate at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 5 days.

He graduated from Armona High School in California and later received an Associate’s Degree.

Micky served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Barbara Ann McKenzie December 21, 2015 at Davis, OK and was a maintenance mechanic for Flex-N-Gate in Ada, OK. Micky was a Teamsters and Masonic Lodge member. He enjoyed electronics, computers and building things with his hands.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann McKinzie of the home in Coalgate; sons, Randall Brooks of Carson City, NY, James Elliott and Micky Elliott, Jr. both of Roff, OK; daughters, Stephenie Langford and husband Reed of McDonough, GA, Summerdawn Greenwood and husband Jeff of Stratford, OK, Leona Tyler of Midwest City, and Elizabeth Morrison and husband Josh of Roff, OK; stepson, Michael Welge of Shawnee, OK; stepdaughter, Jennifer Francis and husband Brian of Ada, OK; grandchildren, Sierra Brooks, Emma Langford, AJ Langford, Kelsey Babbitt, Kortney Samis, Cody Greenwood, Tagen Tyler, Evan Eggros, Rylee Eggros, Kadyn Morrison, Victor Morrison, Alice Morrison, Michael Morrison, Jasson Morrison, Cameron Nichols, Sam Nichols, Max Welge, Liam Francis, and Micah Francis; great-grandchildren, Marli Babbitt, Ryland Tyler, and Ava Samis; brothers, Jim Elliott and wife Helen and Alvin Elliott, all of Roff, OK.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Odis Lee and Ollie Leona (Pruitt) Elliott; sister Cheryl Hummer; and brother David Elliott.

Casketbearers were Michael Welge, Jeff Greenwood, Reed Langford, Cody Greenwood, Tagen Tyler, and AJ Langford. Honorary bearers were James Elliott, Micky Elliott, Jr., Liam Francis, Evan Eggros, Victor Morrison, Michael Morrison, Cameron Nichols and Sam Nichols.
