Service held for Mary Magdalene Davidson

Funeral services for Mary Magdalene (Gwinn) Davidson, a Coalgate resident were held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Justin McKinney officiating, assisted by Greg Davidson. Burial was in Moore Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Davidson was born November 3, 1928 to James Byrd and Rossie Ann (Prince) Gwinn at Pine, OK and passed away December 23, 2023 at Ada, OK at the age of 95 years, 1 month and 20 days. She attended schools at Pine, Oconee and Olney. Mary married Johnnie Lee Davidson August 15, 1946. He preceded her in death August 1, 1992. They were blessed with one day short of 46 years together. Together they built a beautiful, loving home with nine sons and one daughter. Mary was a homemaker and a faithful member of Jesus’ Name Mission Church for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and em-broidering. Mary loved spending time with her children, grand-children and all of her greats. She truly loved the Lord with all her heart. There’s no doubt she heard the Lord say, “Well done My good and faithful servant.”

Survivors include her sons, Keary Davidson and wife Delores of Tupelo, Alton Davidson of Coalgate, Ray Davidson and wife Yuvonne of Centrahoma, Lyndon Davidson and wife Kim of Clarita, Howard Davidson and wife Sharon, Leslie Davidson, all of Coalgate; daughte r - i n - l a w, Susie Davidson of Coalgate; eighteen grandchildren; forty-three greatgrandchildren and five great-greatg randchildren; brother, Sisroe Gwinn of Coalgate; special niece, Nadine Mowdy of Coalgate; brother-in-law, Mack Davidson and wife Viola of Moore, OK; sisters-in-law, Leota Nickell of Moore and Denise Gwinn of Coalgate; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.

She as preceded in death by her parents, James Byrd and Rossie Ann (Prince) Gwinn; husband, Johnnie Lee Davidson; sons, Tommie Gordon, Lew Allen, and Clayton Wayne Davidson; daughter, Mary Annette Davidson and nineteen siblings.

Casketbearers were Dustin Davidson, Kristen Davidson, Shawn Davidson, Heath Davidson, Randy Davidson, Brad Davidson, Conner Davidson, Bailey Harrison, and Greg Davidson.
