Service held for Eileen Murphy

Funeral service for Eileen (Pierce) Murphy, a Centrahoma resident, was held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mrs. Murphy was born April 8, 1938 to Jeffery William and Elsie Rosa Lee (Lackey) Pierce at Marlow, OK and passed away October 28, 2019 at Ada, OK at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 20 days. She graduated from Boise City High School and married Lee Elvis Murphy on January 2, 1971 at Idabel, OK. Eileen was a CNA for Home Health and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, gardening, cooking and camping. Her greatest joy was the love for her children and family.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Elvis Murphy of the home; son, Jodie Jones and wife Kayla of Healdton, OK; daughters, Tonya Silfies and husband Dan of Ripon, CA, Sonya Johnson and husband Larry of Valrico, FL, and Oleana Murphy of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Ashley Sauber, Kerri Squires, Garret Silfies, Derrick Murphy, David Napier III, James Morgan Jones, Tala Jones, Alexandria Napier, Cheyenne Napier, and James Johnson; great-grandson, Travis Levi Murphy; sisters, Wanda David and husband Everett of Marlow, OK, and Mary Lawson and husband Forest of Derby, KS; along with nieces, nephews and dearly loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Jones; daughter, Deanna Murphy; and sisters, Trudy Mayhan and Betty Carter.

Casketbearers were Derrick Murphy, David Napier III, Ronnie Drewry, and James Jones.
