Funeral services for Linda Ann (James) Bigbie, an Atoka, OK resident, were held Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Rev. Claude Lovett officiating. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery in Wapanucka, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bigbie was born December 24, 1948 to Herbert Harvey and Geraldine M. (Johnson) James at Oklahoma City, OK and passed away November 8, 2024 at Atoka, OK at the age of 75 year, 10 months and 15 days. She graduated from Bitburg Air Force Base High School in Germany with the class of ‘67. She went on to receive an Associate’s Degree from Murray State College in the class of ‘69.
Linda married John L, Bigbie Jr. on July 1, 1989 at Tishomingo, OK and was a housewife and homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and loved writing, cooking, dancing, her horses, and completely doted on her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters Charity Cowan and husband Charles of Coalgate and Stephanie Keys and husband John of Westville, OK; granddaughters, Jordyn Crockett and Rachel Keys; siblings, Lanora Cain and husband Harry of Ardmore, OK, Gregory James and wife Tina of Tulsa, OK, and Letitia Weast and husband Aaron of Comanche, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Geraldine (Johnson) James; husband, John L. Bigbie, Jr. and father of her children, Steven David Crockett.
Casketbearers were Rick James, Greg James, Carl Smith and Harry Cain.
